Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Statement
Free Bikes 4 Kidz Omaha (FB4K Omaha) is committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in all aspects of our organization. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and freedom of riding a bike, regardless of their background, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender identity, or religion.
Diversity:
• We actively seek to diversify our volunteers, staff, board, and the youth we serve to reflect the rich cultural tapestry of Omaha.
• We celebrate the unique experiences and perspectives that each individual brings to FB4K Omaha.
Equity:
• We strive to remove barriers that prevent all youth from having access to bicycles.
• We offer our services equitably to all youth-serving organizations, with a focus on reaching underserved communities.
• Recipients pay nothing to receive items, ensuring that cost is not a barrier to receiving a bike.
Inclusion:
• We foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
• We offer resources and support to ensure all volunteers and staff can participate fully in our mission.
• We are committed to continuously improving our programs and services to better meet the needs of the diverse youth population we serve.
FB4K Omaha is committed to ongoing learning and improvement in our DEI efforts. We believe that by embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion we can create a more positive impact on the lives of the youth we serve.
